The History of MY Name

Well, the history of my name is not really of my name. I was not born, nor do any formal documents give me the title of Nikki Craig, every piece of formal paper you will find has the words Bridgett Nichole Craig scribed on them. My mother thinks that my name is beautiful, I however disagree and have for quite some time (approximately since the time I could say the word NO). Thus, I am Nikki Craig.

Nikki is (according to www.behindthename.com):

a feminine, English name, short for Nichole or Nicole.

Craig is (according to ask.com):

Definition: From the Gaelic word “creag” or “carraig,” meaning ‘rock.’ In Scotland, many forts were built on massive rock outcroppings, and the surname CRAIG was often used to refer to the people who established or occupied these rocky fortifications.

Surname Origin: Scottish, Welsh

Alternate Surname Spellings: CRAIGE, CRAIGH, CREAG, CRAIGHE, CREIGH
